Storyline:

In a world inhabited by mythical creatures, magic was commonplace and its wielders greatly respected. However, due to the difficulty of mastering it as well as technological advances over the years, magic’s usage became obsolete and heavily discarded.

In a time equivalent to the modern-day, two elf brothers – Ian Lightfoot, a high-schooler lacking self-confidence, and Barley, an older, passionate role-playing and historical fanatic whom Ian finds embarrassing – live in the city of New Mushroomton. Their father Wilden died of a severe illness shortly before Ian’s birth, leaving their mother Laurel to raise them. Since, Laurel has gotten a new boyfriend, centaur police officer Colt Bronco, whom the boys do not like that much.
